Susan Gaytan brings over twenty years of automotive experience and dealership management expertise to Proactive Training Solutions. Susan emphasizes the importance of leadership’s role in effective sales training and is passionate about providing the best value and support for dealers. She encourages all managers to train side-by-side with their salespeople to build a powerful sales team from the top down.

Michael Renaud

CEO

Michael Renaud brings more than 18 years of auto industry expertise, with experience in BDC Management, Sales Management, Fixed Operations, buy/sells and Operations. Over the course of his career, Renaud has worked with primarily Hyundai, Genesis, Mazda and independent dealerships throughout New York City, Long Island and Westchester. “I have done training with a number of trainers over the course of my career and have found Alan Ram’s program to be one of the best available for both onsite and interactive training,” said Renaud. “I’ve run stores in New York over the last 10 years, I know what management’s pain points are when it comes to training and I look forward to helping more auto dealers and manufacturers grow their businesses in a more efficient and effective way.”

Mike Sealey is the Vice President of Kintz Group, bringing decades of hands-on automotive experience in dealership operations, sales leadership, and performance development. He works to implement high-impact strategies rooted in Tim Kintz’s proven training systems. Mike is known for helping dealerships build stronger sales and management teams that drive measurable results, and carrying forward Tim Kintz’s legacy of performance-driven training.
Who was

Tim Kintz?

Tim Kintz didn’t get into this business to train people. He got in to sell cars.

He started from the bottom — detailing vehicles in Alaska — and worked his way through every level of the dealership. Sales. Finance. Management. Training. He earned every insight he ever taught. By the time he founded the Kintz Group, he had spent decades on the floor, in the desk, and in front of dealership teams across North America figuring out exactly where deals were being won and lost.

He trained over 1,000 dealerships. He wrote Frictionless and Fearless — two of the most widely read books in automotive sales. He was endorsed by 17 state dealer associations and graduated from the NADA Academy. And he built a philosophy that the highest-grossing stores in the country still run their showroom around today.

Tim believed that customers don’t resist buying. They resist pressure. Everything he built was designed to eliminate that resistance — and replace it with confidence, process, and gross.

His work didn’t end when he passed. It lives in every dealership that runs his system, in every manager who leads the way he taught, and in everything the Kintz Group continues to build in his name.

Who was

Alan Ram?

Alan Ram walked out of the United States Marine Corps in 1985 and into a car dealership. He started in sales, worked his way to General Sales Manager, and never stopped asking the question that would define his career: why are dealerships leaving so much opportunity on the table?

In 1991 he founded Proactive Training Solutions with a simple but radical idea — that opportunity doesn’t walk through the door on its own. You have to create it. That Outside-In philosophy became the foundation of everything Proactive built over the next three decades.

Alan went on to work with tens of thousands of salespeople, managers, and BDC teams across North America and internationally. His training became a cornerstone of Chrysler’s certification program across more than 2,300 dealerships nationwide. He became an original partner at NADA University. His workshop at the 2012 NADA Convention was the single most attended session of the entire event.

He combined a sharp sense of humor with a no-nonsense, real-world approach that made complex processes feel immediately executable. He didn’t just change how dealerships trained — he changed how they thought about every phone call, every internet lead, and every customer who walked through the door.

Alan Ram put his heart and soul into this industry. His team carries that legacy forward every single day.
